For all you Twitter buffs, you are now able to add Twitter functionality to your WordPress blog with Simple Twitter Connect. This plugin allows you to have an integrated site sans a lot of coding and will allow you to customize it to your needs. Requires WordPress 2.9 and PHP 5.

Activate and set up the base plugin. This will give your site basic Twitter functionality.

Available add-on plugins include:

–Login using Twitter

–Comment using Twitter credentials

–Auto-tweet comment capability

Upload the files to the /wp-content/plugins/simple-twitter-connect/ directory

Activate the plugin through the “plugins” menu in WordPress

Now just configure it by entering Consumer and Consumer Secret Key, from Twitter which you can get from here

Your Twitter Connect button will be added to your post’s comments section.

This plugin makes it easier for your readers to comment on a post by simply clicking on a button and providing their Twitter credentials to establish their identity. You will see their Twitter avatar next to their comments if you have set up avatar functionality on your blog.
