My biggest obstacle when trying to work alone in the house is discipline, so finally I decided to form a small team, where we can be mutually reinforcing. And our job becomes easier.
I suggest that you do not work alone, find a friend or two friends.

These are great points!!

A definite down-side to moonlighting on the side is that you tend to have no life. When I am not working for my boss, I am working for me.

If we don’t love what we do, this creates a very much a high burn-out risk.
