Looking at some of the bigger site’s UI design can give you some inspiration for usability and of course the aesthetic side of things.

These bigger sites have design elements that work and users are comfortable with, so they are a good starting point for your own projects.

The following tutorials mimic these elements and show you how to do it yourself, obviously these tutorials aren’t here for you to clone Facebook for example, but it will break it down and show you how they did it.
