Rollip Review And Giveaway
Webm.ag were recently contacted by the folks from Rollip and they told us all about their tool and allowed us to have a snoop, test out the site and have a mess about with its features.
We were pretty happy with what the site could do and wanted to share it with the Webm.ag readers, and to enable you to look deeper into the site Rollip have provided WebM.ag with 15 PRO accounts for our users to get a free PRO account loaded with 30 credits each. To keep it fair the PRO accounts will be first come first served basis, so you can get your account by following this link to the special WebM.ag coupon: http://www.rollip.com/pro?coupon=webmag
If you miss out on the PRO accounts we are sorry, but you can also use Rollip for free (minus the high quality processing feature.)
So What is Rollip?
To get started you just select one of 40 effects then upload a photograph (multiple filetypes are supported including JPG and BMP.)

Rollip has 40 photo filters to choose from and each filter has an example to help you decide, so saves time as you don’t have to preview each one manually.
Once an image is uploaded if you don’t like the effect you can upload again and try something else, also worth mentioning Rollip keeps the original filesize that you uploaded.

The upload function is pretty quick and gives constant updates of progress, so unlike most sites with an upload function you know what your upload is doing in realtime.
Examples
I used a photograph from Morguefile, which was taken by Gracey and tested out the various photo effects Rollip had to offer.

Altered Images

I used a good selection of effects on the photograph whilst experimenting with Rollip, with Vintage, Black and White, Sepia, Glows and Various Lenses to mention a few, I wasn’t short of effects to try.
Why Use Rollip?
I found Rollip to be a great tool, there is no download so you don’t have to worry about viruses or spyware being installed on your machine as the whole process is online.
Not everyone is a photo editing expert, so a tool like this will be useful to a good number of users. Even using software like Photoshop it takes a a little longer to get the effects Rollip can produce in a few seconds, so in some respects even the experienced users might save a little time by using this tool.
So test it out, you can get you PRO account here: http://www.rollip.com/pro?coupon=webmag and if they are all gone you can visit and register for Rollip here: http://www.rollip.com
