Your blog’s comment area is an important part of your blog, it allows users to contribute whether it be to praise your article or to add suggestions you might have missed out and improve what your article offers.
The Wordpress comment system is pretty good all by itself, but there are numerous plugins which can take it that little bit further and really get users involved, such as Open Id for example, as they don’t have to leave details or register.
I have listed 10 great plugins to enhance your comments section, included is ratings, addons and plugins to make your comments section more interactive.

Commentluv is definitely my favorite – why don’t you install it here? Also, a dofollow plug-in is a good way to encourage commenters IMO.
I don’t like Disqus btw – too cumbersome.

Two more awesome comment plugins:
WP Twitip ID – Adds an additional field in the comment form which allows users to enter their Twitter username http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-twitip-id/
GeoSmart – Displays the location of each commenter beside their name. Also displays a google map showing the distribution of the commenter across the world and the flag of the country each commenter is from. It also has a recent visitors map widget.
