I really don't know the answer. I'd imagine your skills will always be more important than your degree. Viget's designers have very different backgrounds. A lot of us were in an art or design program of some type, but I know at least one went to school for programming, not design. Now that programs are being developed for web designers I'm sure it'll be something to look for, but I doubt a degree will make or break a hire. Talent is talent! Stewart – Great question.
