Thanks, that’s a great selection. Too often these kind of lists just show the same apps again and again, and many of them mirror each other’s functionality. This is a showcase of tools that do simple but important things well, and there’s a lot of stuff there that I can use on a day to day level to make my life easier!

Hi McBonio,
Nice list, but you left off Fanurio: http://www.fanuriotimetracking.com
Fanurio helps with the less appealing aspects of freelancing like keeping track of time and invoicing. It’s a useful application, with a user-friendly interface.

Hi Kate, Fanurio does look a very useful tool but its a paid application which is desktop based.
We will be covering desktop apps for designers at some point in the future!
Cheers

I’ve gotta say Type Tester is my favorite on the list. I’ve tried many of the others, but Type Tester was a new one for me. It will come in handy. Thanks for the list.
