Adobe Air is a breath of fresh air (pardon the pun) allowing communication between internet applications and the desktop is something that was sorely missing, now thats changing.

A huge amount of Air Apps are becoming available from publishers, mostly over at the Adobe Marketplace, but others are offering on their blogs and sites.

Below is a list of useful Air Apps for designers and developers that cover font selection, colour picking, SQL and image manipulation (and a few more.) I haven’t give them descriptions as a few paragraphs wouldn’t be a fair assessment of these awesome tools, therefore once you click through you can read a full description on the author site.
